Energy efficiency is not the same as energy conservation.

"Energy Efficiency" means that you use less energy to operate appliances, and reduces your electric bill.   Energy Efficiency does not change Lifestyle. 

An example of efficiency is replacing an incandescent light bulb with a CFL or LED. You save energy, and the room is properly illuminated.
